Benjamin Green is the founder of Green College Advising. He has over 15 years of experience as a teacher, researcher, and college advisor. He received a B.A. with honors from the University of California, Berkeley and his M.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. At UCLA, he studied philosophy, French, ancient Greek, and took courses at the UCLA School of Law. He also served as a Teaching Associate for a variety of UCLA undergraduate English and philosophy courses for which he was awarded the Robert M. Yost prize for excellence in teaching.
Ben has been a full-time college counselor for the past twelve years. He spent five years serving as the Head Counselor for one of the Bay Area’s largest education consulting firms, HS2 Academy, before transitioning into the role of College Guidance Coordinator at BASIS Independent Silicon Valley, a prestigious Bay Area private school. In 2020, he started his own business, Green College Advising, where he has continued his passion of working with students and helping them navigate the various labyrinths of the college admissions process.
He has worked with over a thousand students from a wide variety of backgrounds and has extensive experience with:
